Hi ya’ll, I’m Nicole!
I’m the wife to an amazing husband and mom to our crazy 1 year old boy.
Here are some interesting facts about me…
- Was in the Air Force
- Married my (now)husband after knowing him 4 months!
- Love to bake and cook
- Am HORRIBLE at remembering to text people back
- Have OCD when it comes to folding clothes (especially underwear and socks!)
- Will eat the frosting off a cupcake BEFORE eating the actual cupcake
But you came here looking to know more about me than just fun facts right?
Well here it is:
I became a stay-at-home-wife about two years ago after quitting my full-time job as a salon manager.
When I became a new mom I realized I had so many questions about how to run a household and maintain my marriage all while having a young child to care for.
I started this blog because I want to help other women regarding these issues too. So here I am. Open and honest about my experiences, failures and learning processes.
Before we get to far let me tell you a little bit more about me and my history.
I am originally from Texas but currently reside in Florida. It was here that I really discovered my passions and truest self (which wasn’t always the nicest self).
Upon my arrival I was quickly introduced to my husband who was everything I didn’t want in a man. He was a total bro. Not to mention he is from Michigan. As a Southern girl, you stay away from just about anyone who is from a state further north than Kansas.
However, I married him shortly thereafter. And despite what others predicted, we’ve been happily married for 5 years.
After almost a year of being in Florida I was able to get a full time job at an Aveda Salon.
This was the place that showed me my love for business administration and management. I started working towards my college degree and graduated July of 2018.
After 2 years of hard work I was promoted to manager. Soon after however, I quit.
Through this life altering change of lost income, we decided it was time to purchase our first home.
Crazy thing is….we actually got the home.
Exactly 1 month after move-in we had the joy of finding out I was pregnant!
After much discussion with my husband it was decided I would stay at home. I was TOTALLY excited for this – something I’d dreamed about since I was a little girl:
Stay-at-home-wife and stay-at-home-mom
But, I quickly found out there was a lot I didn’t know about these two very important jobs.
And that’s okay because I learned and am STILL learning!
Now that you know me a little better, I hope you join me on my journey.
Wifehood and motherhood is all about growing and evolving into the best wife/mom you can be!
